Due to the usually hard weather we are experiencing, we have had to change some of the arrangements for the coming week. Our Christmas show will take place tomorrow Tuesday 21st at 1.30pm in the Parochial Hall. We are very aware that this will present problems for some parents getting to see the show but the safety of everyone must take priority. We feel that this is a better option than taking children, parents and staff out at night in such dangerous conditions. The show will finish at around 3.30pm and all children will be going home at that stage. We will be running a raffle as usual and we would appreciate any prizes that parents feel that they would like to donate. We hope to video the show tomorrow and DVDs will be available after Christmas.
The blog will give you a sample of life in our school. All our staff, pupils and parents strive to make our school a happy place where learning is the central focus.
With a current enrolment of 117 children, the school prides itself on the quality of its pastoral care, its academic success, its strong sporting ethos, the quality of relations at all levels and its links with parents, the parish and the community. Children benefit from a wealth of experiences ranging from academic and sporting to pastoral with emphasis on positive relationships and inclusion.

After School Clubs
The after school camogie club is now finished and we are very grateful to Mrs Leona Gallagher and Miss Francis Bigley for their time and hard work in promoting camogie at primary school level. The after school football club and cooking club will finish on Tuesday evening and the basketball club will continue for two more weeks.
Road Safety
Due to the increase in pupil numbers in the school, home time continues to be a very busy time around the front of the school. Cars should be parked on the school side of the road. This prevents traffic build up and allows the children to walk up the footpath home. Please inform those who are picking your child up from school about this. We really appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Parent Teacher Meetings
The children will be going home from school at 11 O’clock on Wednesday 10th of November to facilitate the parent teacher meetings. Please ensure that your child has a lift home at that time. We will send out a date and time of your meeting. If this time is not suitable please contact the school office and another time will be arranged.

Cabragh Cup 2010
Congratulations to the School Gaelic Football team who were victorious in this year's Cabragh Cup. The team finished top of the small schools section and then went on to beat St. Mary's Cabragh in the semi-final and also St. Mary's Pomeroy in the final. This was an exceptional achievement and the first time the school has achieved this honour. The icing on the cake was that Matthew McGleenan was named player of the tournament.
