Mr. Ian Patterson brought his Birds of Prey show to the school on Tuesday. The children were joined by the pupils from the Rainbow Playgroup. Birds such as the Barn Owl, Long Eared Owl, Peregrine Falcon and a Kestrel were on display. The children had the opportunity to see the birds up close, learn about their lives and habitat and even to have the birds land on their arms.
The blog will give you a sample of life in our school. All our staff, pupils and parents strive to make our school a happy place where learning is the central focus.
With a current enrolment of 117 children, the school prides itself on the quality of its pastoral care, its academic success, its strong sporting ethos, the quality of relations at all levels and its links with parents, the parish and the community. Children benefit from a wealth of experiences ranging from academic and sporting to pastoral with emphasis on positive relationships and inclusion.

Happy Birthday Primary 1
Primary 1 are having a special day on Friday 20th. We are having a birthday party in our class to celebrate everyone's birthday. Prepartions have been on-going over the last two weeks. We have busy making birthday cards, invitations, menus and cooking buns etc. The party is fancy dress so the children can bring in their favourite costumes.
Some children have been off sick this week, so we hope that they will be back on Friday. However, if we have any absentees we will have the party next week. The children can leave their costumes in school.
We will publish some of the photographs on the blog after the party.

Birthday Cakes
Primary 1 children had great fun creating their own birthday cakes with the month of their birthday on their cake.
Reading Buddies
The children from P3 to P7 have been taking part in guided reading lessons on Friday afternoons. Children from the more senior classes have been working with the younger children and helping them to develop interest and fluency in this area. We would encourage the children to bring in reading material from home such as newspaper reports or any other resource that they would like to read.
