The blog will give you a sample of life in our school. All our staff, pupils and parents strive to make our school a happy place where learning is the central focus.
With a current enrolment of 117 children, the school prides itself on the quality of its pastoral care, its academic success, its strong sporting ethos, the quality of relations at all levels and its links with parents, the parish and the community. Children benefit from a wealth of experiences ranging from academic and sporting to pastoral with emphasis on positive relationships and inclusion.

Swimming Lessons

Swimming for Primary 4/5 will begin the week of February 18th. It’s important for the children to have opportunities before this, to get used to changing their own clothes and drying themselves.

Paired Reading

The school staff will be  running the Paired Reading program with the assistance of Mrs Ann-Marie Flynn from the SELB’s literacy team. Mrs Flynn will be giving an information evening on Tuesday 5th of February at 7.30 pm here in the school. At this meeting she will be explaining the techniques of using the Paired Reading scheme. Some parents will be aware of the program but it is still important to attend the meeting to be brought up to date and because the project is a home based one, it is essential that at least one parent is present at that meeting.

Special Assembly

This week is Catholic School’s Week and we plan to hold a special assembly on Friday 1st of February. We would like to invite all grandparents to come to the assembly on Friday. Grandparents play such an important part in the children’s lives and the assembly on Friday will celebrate this theme. The assembly will be held at 10am in the school hall and there will be refreshments afterwards.
