May Bank Holiday


School will be closed for the May Bank Holiday on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th of May. School will reopen on Wednesday 5th of May.

Remember Primary Four and Five you have swimming on Wednesday.

Staff Training

Children will be going home at 1pm on Thursday 6th May to facilitate staff training. Swimming for Primary 4 and 5 will now take place on Wednesday 5th of May.

First Holy Communion


Thank you to all the parents who helped out on Saturday with the First Communion celebration. The Sports hall looked fantastic and all the staff and children appreciate the hard work that went into the day. Congratulations also to Miss Cullinan and all the children who did so well on the day.

Boy's Football

The boy’s football team will be travelling to Cookstown on Thursday 29th of April. The boys who are travelling will need a packed lunch on the day.

School Trip

The children in Primary 2 and 3 will be travelling to Armagh Planetarium on Friday 7th May for a school trip. This trip will tie in with the work that the children have been covering on the topic of space. Children will need to bring a packed lunch with them on the day. The cost of the trip will be £4 per child.

Camogie After School Club



Mrs Leona Gallagher will be running an after school camogie club starting on Wednesday 28th of April for girls from Primary 3 to Primary 7. The club will begin at 3pm and will run until 4pm.

Space Project


Primary 2 and 3 have been working really hard on their topic "Space". They have been learning about the Planets, Dwarf Planets, Earth and the Continents. Plenty of models and posters were created in the home/school project which is displayed in the front foyer of the school.

Enjoying The Good Weather

Space Age Students!

The children in Primary 2 and 3 have been learning all about their planet and the universe. They worked hard to produce a brilliant display with all the planets created using all types of materials.

Technology Champions!

Congratulations to Matthew McGleenan, Megan Vincent and Conor Murtagh who represented the school in the SELB Technology Challenge recently. They overcame stiff competition from many other schools to be chosen to represent the SELB in the Northern Ireland finals which will be held in W5 in Belfast in June. Mrs Joan Shine (SELB Science & Technology Adviser) presents the children with their prizes.

Football & Camogie



The boy’s football team will be travelling to St. Ciaran’s College, Ballygawley on Friday for an indoor tournament and the camogie team will be travelling to Omagh Leisure Centre on Friday. Any girl travelling to Omagh will need a packed lunch as they may not be home for dinner time.

Swimming Lessons



The Primary 4 and 5 children will begin their second set of swimming lessons on Thursday. All children must have goggles. Girls must wear swimming caps and full swimming suits. This block of lessons lasts for 5 weeks and costs £10 per child. Please send the money in to the school office as soon as possible.
